When people first saw the Retro Air Jordan XX2 (22s) for the first time was, they probably thought, “WTF, is that it?!?!” Most felt they looked boring and that Nike played it safe. Others went so far as to say there’s no way Jordan Brand should have allowed these to be part of the numbered Retro Jordan series. They do look a bit plain and might be mistaken for a Jordan Brand “Team” shoe rather than be the next shoe in the Retro Air Jordan series. Over time, the simplicity and sleekness of the design grew on the masses and everyone began to appreciate XX2 more and more.
