Heads up Jordan memorabilia collectors – Michael Jordan will be on the July 2010 cover of SLAM Magazine. As we mentioned a little while back, a lot of focus has been directed towards the amazing achievements made by Michael Jordan Motorsports lately, but not much has been said about Jordan’s new ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats. As the first ex-NBA Player to become CEO of an NBA franchise, SLAM has asked Rick Telander to ask the tough questions that everyone wants to hear. It should definitely be an interesting read because Telander has been able to follow Jordan for over 25 years as a senior writer for the Chicago Sun-Times, Sports Illustrated, and ESPN. In 2008 Telander caused waves by refusing to submit a baseball Hall of Fame ballot, citing frustration with steroid issues troubling baseball. He mentioned in his January 9, 2008 Chicago Sun-Times column how he can’t trust anyone on the ballot, and as such can’t vote for any of them.
