Jordan on NBA2K11
NBA 2K11 is pulling a rabbit out of the hat and shocking everyone by placing Michael Jordan on the cover of their new box wearing some Playoff XII Air Jordans. Long after his final retirement from the NBA, the legendary Micahel Jordan is still setting trends in 2010 as the the first ex-NBA player and current NBA team owner to be the spokesman for NBA2K. Besides this new cover on NBA2K11, Jordan’s had a couple other things up his sleeve for 2010. Back in 2004 he started Michael Jordan Motorsports and was just featured on ESPN’s “Bike Like Mike” after his team took their first trophy in 6 years. And more recently Michael Jordan became majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats in March 2010.
2K has yet to offer any details on how the retired superstar will be used in the game, an authentic simulation of the NBA. Jordan’s appearance is rare, considering most sports titles use a current player as its cover star. The game will release for all major video game platforms on October 5.
