Got Squeaky Jordans?
If you don’t wear your Jordans because they squeak, pay special attention to this story. The other day this Jordan collector put an ad on Craiglist to sell his Bred Retro Jordan IVs that released back in 1999. He rated them at a 9/10, but the price was only $150… Sounds way too good to be true, right? After doing some digging around, we learned that he’d kept the shoes in his closet for the last 10 years, Deadstock, but when he broke them out on New Years day, they squeaked every time he took a step. Being the true sneaker heads that we are, JordanDepot gave him some priceless advice that saved him from selling off his Jays and making a huge mistake. Granted, this isn’t breaking news – many sneaker aficionados already know this – but for those that don’t, take note:
To fix your squeaky sneakers, remove the insole from the shoe, and pour a decent amount of baby powder in the bottom. Shake your shoe from left to right, front to back, making sure that the baby powder coats the entire bottom inside the shoe. Once the baby powder makes its way through all the cracks and crevices in the shoe, tilt the toe up so that the excess baby powder collects at the heel, and dump that out. Replace the insole, and continue to rock your OG and Retro Jordans on ninja status.

I HAVENT WORN MY JORDAN RETRO III’s FOR 5-6YEARS CAUSE OF THE SQUEEK………I ALWAYS KEPT EM’ CLEAN THOUGH. TRIED THE BABYPOWDER THING……….ARE YOU SERIOUS…….IM GEEKED UP DOG……RIGHT IN TIME FOR THE SUMMER. THIS WORKS EXTREMELY WELL…….UNBELIEVABLE……..MY WIFES GETTIN TIRED OF ME TALKIN ABOUT IT, GOTTA BOUNCE, PEACE AND THANX !!!

OMFG this is the best advice ever. I’ve had a pair of Jordans that I got like 4 years ago, but I haven’t worn them in the last year because they squeeked.

Just tried it with my AJ 11 Retro Low, which have squeaked from day one, thought I’d never be able to wear them again and BINGO! All good baby! Good lookin’ out!

I wanted to attempt this on my true flights, but I am unable to move the insole of my shoe cause it’s like stitched in. Also, do if I do end up getting the insoles out of the shoes do I need to buy NEW ones to put in or I can put in the same old ones?
i dont got a pair of jordans wit this problem but my scottie pippens got the squeaks and the powder didnt work any advice on wat to do

wow mass people saying the 11′s squeaked and low and behold mine do too. from the day i bought them (39.99 nike outlet – yes sir) the been chirping like crazy. gonna try out this trick tonight.
My last 3 pair I have been unable to wear.. they creak, squeak and u name it. I had resolved to never buying another pair of jordans. I will try this, however, might think twice before buying another pair! Bye bye fav. shoe.. cant see spending the money to rip out the insoles

Thanks!!! I did the baby powder on one pair of my Jordan shoes and it really worked. I had two pairs that were squeaking. At last I can wear them. I currently have a white pair and a black pair. I was thinking about buying other brands but wasn’t able to find any good looking ones. I am heading to the store right now and buying me a pair of XIII Jordans that I just saw this past weekend.
Man I put my retro Jordan 7 Hare bunny on Craigslist for $40 b/c of this, but thank god nobody called I’m running to go get baby powder right now
