Banned Air Jordans Shoes
It’s crazy to think the NBA has guidelines regulating the shoes that players wear… Shoes have to match uniform specifications in order to meet league rules, and the majority of the shoe has to be either black or white, and the other color scheme on the shoe has to be team colors. The Air Jordan I (1s) shoes were banned because the OG Retro Air Jordan was only black and red. With the support of Nike, Michael Jordan rebelled and wore them every game, all while his shoe endorser picked up the $5,000 fine per game! Of course Nike wasted no time in marketing their Banned Air Jordan I (1s), taking advantage of the sideways promotion. Eventually Nike released the AJ Retro Jordan I (1s) that incorporated the color white. Anyway, here’s the commercial, brought to you by JordanDepot.com.
